Who we are

We’re Marion Street Leather Supply — a leatherwork studio based in Salt Lake City. We offer custom collars for all kinds of dogs and stock limited quantities of our most requested non-collar products.

We believe that every dog deserves great gear. Whether you have a working dog learning to assist you in your career or a family dog learning to be part of your pack, providing them with high quality equipment is essential to supporting them in their training.

We started Marion Street Supply after buying dozens of collars that weren’t *quite* right. If that sounds familiar, let’s make something together.

  • We offer all of our collar designs in both leather and biothane.

  • We make traditional collars, slip collars, prong collars and speciality collars.

  • We make double-backed leather collars for a sturdy build or nylon-backed collars for a more flexible training tool.

  • The finishing touches are what really make a custom collar sing, and you can choose them all!

  • We have a wide variety of hardware options, from fancy buckles for dogs concerned with fashion to Austrialpin Cobra Buckles for working dogs with safety requirements.

Technology

Our quality and designs set our collars apart.

When we set out to make our first collar, we knew that there was nothing quite like what we wanted to make on the market. In the last three years, we’ve brought multiple ideas to life and iterated on the ones that we really loved. Schedule a call with us to learn about the designs we’ve created, or let’s dream something up together!

Team

Marion Street Supply Co. is a family operation. Our dogs are our world, and we train, work, and create together on a daily basis. We test all of our gear with our own dogs before we decide if it’s good enough for yours.

FOUNDER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Jake

Jake is our founder and creative director. His natural curiosity, creativity, and craftsmanship led him to learning leatherwork while he was in medical school, and what started as a study break quickly became a passion. When he’s not coming up with a new collar design or training with the dogs, he’s a psychiatry resident at the University of Utah.

BRAND MANAGER (NOT PICTURED)

Cate

Cate handles everything but the leather. She’s got a spreadsheet for everything, an eye for detail, and a photography degree that comes in handy every so often. When she’s not working on Marion Street, she’s at her day job as a brand manager, training scent work with Sunny, or taking a nap with Charlie.

Sunny

Sunny is a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Gordon Setter mix. Sunny was Jake and Cate’s first dog and sparked their love of dog ownership and training. She’s part hunting dog part princess with a nose for scent work and the attitude of a show dog. She loves getting dirty and being rough on her gear, so she’s our official Product Durability Tester.

Charlie

Charlie is a 3-year-old lab/GSD/hound mix. Jake and Cate rescued Charlie when he was 10 months old and he’s been working on becoming a good boy ever since. Charlie is a First Responder Therapy Dog and he loves his job! He also does sport scent work and is learning to track. He’s the happiest member of the family and is our official Director of Team Morale.
